What can be improved using cheek fillers?

We can lift and enhance the appearance of your cheeks with carefully placed dermal fillers. Nasolabial lines (lines from the corner of the mouth to the nose) can also improve when treating the cheek with dermal filler due to its ‘lifting’ capacity. In some cases, nasolabial lines do not need to be treated after cheek filler treatment depending on the level of volume loss. The tear trough area can also be improved by treating the upper cheek area.

Combination filler treatments can work well, and we can give you a full treatment plan based on recommendations.

Dr Dipen discussing treatment image

What does the treatment involve?

We offer free consultations with Dr Dipen Patel here at Kent House Dental Clinic, giving you the chance to make sure you are suitable for treatment. We discuss the treatment in detail and give you the chance to ask any questions.

Dermal filler treatments are only carried out by Dr Dipen Patel, who is fully qualified. We can use either numbing cream or local anaesthetic injections before treatment to minimise discomfort. We use either a fine needle or a cannula to administer the filler to your cheeks. We use a bespoke amount of dermal filler which varies depending on your individual case.

Afterwards, there might be a small amount of swelling which will quickly subside. Depending on the area treated, it usually takes no longer than 30 minutes and you can leave the clinic as soon as you are ready to do so.

Do fillers hurt?

Modern fillers contain a local anaesthetic called lidocaine for a more comfortable treatment. Our carefully designed needles also minimise pain.

How long will my fillers last?

Treatment typically lasts up to 18 months but this will depend on the amount and type of Restylane your practitioner selects. Many people like to have a maintenance treatment before this time to maintain their results.

Should I avoid anything after treatment?

Until signs of inflammation disappear we recommend you avoid exposing the treated area to extreme heat like sunbathing, saunas, or steam baths.

Are there any side effects?

The most common side effects are treatment-site reactions like swelling, bruising, redness and tenderness. These usually resolve within a week.

What’s the difference between products?

Dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar in the skin that’s responsible for hydration. We have a diverse range of dermal fillers, which means whatever treatment you’re after, you can work with your clinician to create a bespoke treatment tailored specifically for you.
