What is hyperhidrosis?

Sweating is completely normal and necessary for the body to reduce heat. Severe or excessive sweating is known as hyperhidrosis. Excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, is caused by overactivity in the sweat glands which produces sweat in greater amounts than the body needs. Both men and women can be affected.

If you are suffering from excessive sweating in any body area, please get in touch to book a consultation.

How does muscle-relaxing treatment treat hyperhidrosis?

Muscle-relaxing treatment works by blocking nerve signals to the sweat glands, reducing the amount of sweat they produce. When injected into the underarms, palms, or soles of the feet, it can significantly decrease sweating in these areas.

Is injectable treatment for hyperhidrosis safe and effective?

Injectable muscle-relaxing treatment has been approved by regulatory authorities for the treatment of hyperhidrosis and is considered safe and effective. Potential side effects are minimal and usually temporary, such as mild bruising or discomfort at the injection site.

How long do the effects of anti-wrinkle treatment last for hyperhidrosis treatment?

The effects of anti-wrinkle treatment for hyperhidrosis typically last for 4-6 months. After this time, the sweat glands will gradually regain their function, and you may need additional injections to maintain the benefits. The frequency of treatments can vary depending on individual needs and response to the therapy.
