What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides are advanced biostimulators that surpass the capabilities of HA-based skin boosters. While HA-based products primarily hydrate the skin, polynucleotides nourish cells, stimulating collagen and elastin production to enhance the extracellular matrix. Additionally, they possess anti-inflammatory properties, offering a comprehensive approach to skin rejuvenation.

What is involved in the treatment?

Polynucleotides are suitable for people aiming to rejuvenate the skin without adding volume. They can reduce lines, firm the skin, boost hydration, and decrease puffiness.

Although polynucleotides are injected like a dermal filler, the way they work is different. The results and effects are not instantaneous and the injections, although superficial and therefore quick and painless, can cause swelling for 3-5 days before being completely absorbed into the body. It can take approximately two months for the desired effects to become noticeable, as the skin needs time to undergo cellular changes.

As treatment does not provide an instant boost, it’s important to consider that your skin condition will improve over time.

Here at Kent House Dental Clinic, we are offering consultations with Dr Dipen Patel. If you would like to find out more about polynucleotides, why not come in and see him and discuss your options?

What are polynucleotides, and how do they work?

Polynucleotides are a type of nucleic acid that plays a crucial role in cellular processes. When injected into the skin, they stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, two essential proteins responsible for skin firmness and elasticity. Additionally, they have anti-inflammatory properties, reducing redness and irritation.

What are the benefits of polynucleotide treatments?

Polynucleotide treatments offer a range of benefits, including improved skin texture and tone, reduced fine lines and wrinkles, increased skin hydration, enhanced skin radiance, diminished acne scars, and improved skin elasticity.

How many treatments are typically needed, and how long do the results last?

The number of treatments required can vary depending on individual needs and desired results. Typically, a series of 2-3 treatments, spaced a few weeks apart, is recommended. Results can last for several months, and in some cases, up to a year.
